Atmos Energy - Anyone else seeing increased workload?

Hey everyone, posting anonymously here. Been with Atmos for a few years now and lately, it feels like the pressure is really on. My team is swamped, projects are piling up, and it seems like we're expected to do more with less. There haven't been any official announcements about layoffs, but the general vibe in the office is getting a bit tense. People are quieter, lunch breaks are shorter, and there's a lot of 'what if' talk flying around. Has anyone else experienced a significant uptick in workload or a shift in company culture recently? Wondering if this is just my department or a broader trend at Atmos. Curious to hear if others are feeling this, or if maybe I'm just overthinking things. Let me know your thoughts.

I can definitely relate to that feeling. It seems like across the board, companies are asking more from their employees without necessarily increasing resources. The atmosphere you're describing – the quietness, the shorter breaks, the speculation – is a classic sign that people are feeling the strain. It's tough when you're stretched thin and the uncertainty starts to creep in. Hopefully, things will stabilize soon and the workload will become more manageable.

That's a concern I've heard echoed from a few different places lately, not just within Atmos. There's a distinct pressure to be more efficient, which often translates to longer hours and more stress on existing staff. It's understandable why the 'what if' talk is circulating. The company culture can really shift when people feel overworked and insecure. Hopefully, management is aware of the impact this is having on morale and will address it proactively.
