I feel this. The disconnect between corporate strategy and what it takes to actually get the work done in the field is palpable. We're the ones out there dealing with emergencies, infrastructure issues, and customer needs daily, and it seems like those insights aren't factoring into the big picture planning. The constant push for metrics that don't always reflect actual job complexity is frustrating, to say the least. It definitely creates a sense of unease about future stability.
I can relate to the 'more with less' feeling. It seems like every quarter brings new initiatives aimed at streamlining, but the impact on our day-to-day workflow is often just more stress and less time for proper execution. It’s tough when you see safety protocols potentially being squeezed because of unrealistic timelines. Hope things improve soon, it's hard to stay motivated when you feel like your real challenges aren't being understood at the top.
