ADP - Seeing some weird signals internally, anyone else?

Hey everyone, been at ADP for a couple of years now, and lately things feel... off. My team's been told to "prioritize core projects," which is standard, but there's been a noticeable slowdown in new initiatives being greenlit. On top of that, I've heard murmurs about a pause on external hiring for non-critical roles, which is usually a pretty open door here. No official word, of course, but the vibe is definitely more cautious. My manager's being tight-lipped, just saying "stay focused." Anyone else in other departments picking up on similar signals? Is it just me or is there a bit of a chill in the air? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or just my corner of the business.

Yeah, I've noticed something similar. Been hearing whispers about budget tightening and a general freeze on non-essential spending. It's not anything concrete, just a general sense that things are becoming more controlled. My department's been told to hold off on any new software purchases unless absolutely critical, which is a change from the usual approach. Hopefully, it's just a temporary adjustment.

Interesting you mention that. My team hasn't experienced anything overt, but there's been a definite shift in how projects are being approved. It feels like there's a much higher bar for new ideas right now, with a lot more scrutiny before anything gets the green light. My manager's also been a bit vague about the 'why,' just emphasizing efficiency and focusing on existing commitments. It's definitely a different atmosphere than a few months ago.
