Just saw the official WARN filing for the New Boston facility. Looks like 75 employees are out the door on September 1st. It’s consistent with the rumors that have been floating around the internal Slack channels for the last month. Management keeps talking about 'operational efficiency' and 'realigning resources,' but we all know that’s just code for headcount reduction. I feel for the folks getting hit right before the holidays, it’s a brutal time to be looking for a new role. If anyone affected is reading this, start looking at the mid-market tech firms in the area; they seem to be hiring way faster than the corporate dinosaurs. Does anyone have intel on whether these were performance-based or if it was just a clean sweep of a specific department?

The New Boston layoffs are unfortunately not surprising given the recent shift in ADP’s regional strategy. We’ve been hearing whispers about consolidation for a while now, but seeing the actual WARN notice makes it feel much more permanent. It is incredibly frustrating to hear management hide behind corporate buzzwords like 'operational efficiency' while real people lose their livelihoods. My thoughts are with those impacted by this, and I hope the severance packages provide at least a temporary safety net while they transition. Keep your heads up and lean on your networks during this difficult period.

I have been tracking these facility closures across the Midwest, and this pattern is becoming all too familiar. ADP has clearly prioritized their bottom line over the tenure and loyalty of their staff. 'Realignment' is just the standard HR script to avoid accountability for poor planning and cost-cutting measures. It is a tough market right now, but please document everything regarding your separation and reach out to former colleagues for referrals immediately. Do not take this personally; these decisions are made in boardrooms far removed from the actual work you were doing on the ground.
