Ball Corp - Anyone feeling the pinch? Cost-cutting measures?

Hey everyone, lurking here for a while and wanted to see if others are noticing anything similar at Ball. Haven't seen any official layoff announcements, but lately, there's been a strange vibe. My department's budget got slashed unexpectedly, and we're being told to "do more with less" – classic. Travel is suddenly a big no-go unless it's absolutely critical, and there's a lot of internal chatter about optimizing processes, which usually means headcount eventually. Anyone else hearing whispers or experiencing similar budget tightenings? Is this just a general economic thing, or is Ball prepping for something bigger? Curious to hear what others are seeing on the ground.

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. My team's been under a lot of pressure to hit aggressive targets with fewer resources. Projects that would normally have a decent budget are now being scrutinized down to the last penny. It feels like we're constantly being asked to justify every expense, and any discretionary spending is immediately flagged. The 'optimize' buzzword is definitely getting a workout, which makes me a bit nervous about future stability.

Interesting to hear others are sensing it. While I haven't seen direct cuts in my area, there's definitely a tighter rein on spending. We're having to be a lot more creative with how we achieve our goals, and there's a noticeable hesitation from management when it comes to approving new initiatives or equipment purchases. It's a subtle shift, but it's definitely there, making things feel a bit more cautious company-wide.
