Ball Corporation - Anyone else prepping their resume?

Just throwing this out there, but I've been seeing a lot of 'talent assessments' and 'skill gap analyses' happening across different teams in Ball Materials. It's not just one or two departments; it seems pretty widespread. My team's had multiple meetings about 'future workforce needs' and 'role rationalization'. Again, no official word on layoffs, but the language being used is pretty careful and sounds like it's laying the groundwork. I've started updating my resume and passively browsing LinkedIn, just in case. Feels like a lot of smoke, and usually where there's smoke there's fire. Anyone else feeling the pressure or hearing anything concrete, even whispers? Curious to know if others are feeling this uneasy and taking precautions.

Interesting observations. My cousin works in a completely different division at Ball, and while they haven't had explicit discussions about workforce needs, there's definitely been a push for increased efficiency and a review of existing processes. It feels like they're trying to optimize before making any big moves, whatever those may be. Good on you for staying ahead of the curve.

Yeah, my experience aligns with what you're seeing. The focus on 'strategic realignment' and 'synergy opportunities' has been palpable across several departments. It feels like management is looking for ways to consolidate and streamline. While I understand the business logic, it does make you wonder about job security. Better safe than sorry, I suppose.
