Anyone else seeing internal reorganizations and role eliminations?

Hey everyone, been at BofA for a few years now in [Department Name]. Lately, I've noticed a lot of internal restructuring, particularly within my team and a few adjacent ones. Some roles are being consolidated, and I've heard from a couple of colleagues that their positions are being eliminated as part of this 'efficiency drive.' No official word from leadership about layoffs, but the vibe is definitely tense. It feels like they're quietly trimming the fat without making a big announcement. Has anyone else experienced or heard about similar shifts in other departments? Trying to gauge if this is widespread or just localized.

Yeah, I've definitely felt a shift here lately. There's a lot of talk about 'synergy' and 'streamlining operations,' which usually translates to fewer people doing more work. It's unnerving to see colleagues who have been here for a long time looking worried. Hopefully, it's just a temporary adjustment, but the underlying anxiety is palpable across different departments.

Same here. While nothing has been explicitly stated regarding widespread job cuts, the atmosphere has changed. Projects are being re-prioritized, and some responsibilities are being absorbed by existing teams. It's creating a sense of uncertainty, and people are definitely keeping their ears to the ground. It's tough when you're not sure what the future holds for your role.
