Saw the WARN notice hit for the Louisville office regarding the 500 roles being impacted. It’s always the same story—leadership talks about 'operational efficiency' and 'cloud migration' on earnings calls, but the reality on the ground is just people getting kicked to the curb. I’ve been through two of these cycles at BofA now, and it never gets any less dehumanizing. They’ll frame it as a 'streamlining of services' to the shareholders while we’re left scrambling to figure out if we even qualify for COBRA or how the payout structure actually works. Does anyone know if they are offering the standard 1-week-per-year-of-service, or are they tightening the belt on that too? Really curious if anyone has been pulled into those 'informational meetings' yet. Just looking for some clarity since HR is being predictably tight-lipped.

It’s absolutely brutal to watch them spin this as a positive for shareholders while people’s lives are being upended. I’ve been hearing the same corporate rhetoric about 'streamlining' for years, and it always just boils down to cutting costs at the expense of loyal employees who have given so much to the firm. Don't rely on HR to give you the straight answer right away. Check your internal portal for the specific packet details and definitely consult an employment lawyer if your tenure is long. Stay strong and keep your network active.
