Posting with a throwaway. I'm in a division that hasn't seen much movement historically, but I've heard some pretty persistent rumors lately about a wider restructuring initiative at Baxter. Not necessarily direct layoffs, but more like 'role consolidation' or 'efficiency improvements,' which we all know can be code for something else. Has anyone in the know or who's heard similar whispers gotten any more specifics? Is it company-wide, or focused on certain areas? Trying to get a sense of the scale and potential impact. My manager is being tight-lipped, as expected, so I'm turning to the collective wisdom here. Any intel, even secondhand, would be appreciated. Just want to be prepared for whatever might be coming down the pipeline.

I've been hearing similar rumblings myself. It's unnerving not knowing the full picture. Interesting to see this thread pop up. My department hasn't officially been touched, but the general buzz about 'realignments' is definitely noticeable. People are asking questions, but answers are scarce. It's the 'vague changes' that tend to cause the most anxiety. If there's a plan, sharing some details, even general ones, would be a huge relief to many employees trying to plan ahead.
