I've definitely noticed a shift in the atmosphere too. It's like the usual pre-review energy has been replaced with a more cautious approach. My manager has been less forthcoming with specific feedback than in previous years, and it's creating a bit of uncertainty about where things stand. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions, but the 'efficiency drives' you mentioned are certainly on my mind as a potential factor. Hopefully, it's just a standard cycle change and not indicative of larger issues.
That’s a good observation. It’s true, the usual open discussions seem to have taken a backseat. I've also felt a need to be more proactive in seeking clarity on expectations, rather than waiting for them to be presented. The quietness is definitely noticeable and makes one wonder about the underlying reasons. I'm hoping it's just a temporary adjustment in communication style and not a sign of significant shifts impacting our roles or performance evaluations.
