Just saw the WARN notice drop for the Tempe facility. It’s official—57 people were let go as of Sept 8. Honestly, I’m not even surprised anymore. It feels like every quarter we’re just waiting for the other shoe to drop. For those of you caught up in this round, I’m really sorry. I know the severance package discussion is always a mess, but make sure you check your total benefits payout against the internal policy documents. Leadership keeps talking about 'operational efficiency' and 'streamlining,' but it’s getting harder to see how we’re actually supposed to hit these production targets with a thinner team every single time. If you’re still inside, stay heads down. The mood in the office is absolutely toxic right now. Anyone here get the email this morning? Just trying to gauge if this is the end of it for the AZ site or if there’s a second wave coming before the end of the year.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this. It’s devastating to see the Tempe site hit like this, especially when management keeps preaching 'efficiency' while the actual people doing the work get discarded. It feels like job security at BD has become a myth over the last few years. If you were impacted, please take a moment to breathe and make sure you triple-check your severance paperwork before signing anything. Don't let them rush you through the process while you're still processing the shock.

Another round of cuts, another day of feeling completely expendable. At this point, the corporate speak about 'streamlining' is just code for cutting costs at the expense of our livelihoods. It’s hard to stay motivated when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder wondering if your desk is next on the list. To the 57 people let go today, I really hope you find something better quickly. This company has changed so much, and unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the culture is headed in a positive direction anymore.
