Customers are noticing the lack of help, and it just adds to the stress. It's a tough environment when you're constantly being pushed to do more with less. Fingers crossed things don't get worse, but that 'streamlining' buzzword usually means bad news for front-line employees.
Totally with you on this. The understaffing is brutal, and the sales goals seem completely disconnected from reality. Customers get frustrated when they can't find someone to help them, and then we get blamed for it. I've heard the same whispers about 'streamlining.'
