Rumors of cuts impacting inventory/warehouse staff?

Just wanted to put this out there to see if anyone else is hearing similar things. My store's been short-staffed on the inventory side for a while now, and it's really impacting how quickly we can turn things around. We've had a couple of people 'move on' unexpectedly over the last month, and management is saying it's all part of 'optimizing operations.' Sounds like corporate speak for layoffs to me, especially since we haven't had new hires to replace them. Is anyone else's warehouse or back-of-house team feeling the squeeze? It's getting pretty stressful trying to keep up with the workload with fewer hands. Curious if this is a widespread thing or just my district.

I'm hearing similar whispers too. Seems like every department is feeling the pinch, not just the warehouse. Turnaround times are definitely slower, and it's hard to keep shelves stocked when you're constantly short-handed. Management's 'optimization' talk feels pretty hollow when you're doing the work of two people. Hopefully, it's just a temporary crunch and not something more permanent.

My store's been experiencing the same thing. It's frustrating when you can't get product out to the sales floor because the backroom is swamped and understaffed. We've had people leave, and no one's been brought in. 'Optimizing operations' is a nice way to say they're cutting costs, but it really affects the customer experience when things aren't readily available. Curious to see if this is a widespread issue.
