Thoughts on Best Buy's strategy and future?

So, with all the talk about potential layoffs and the situation in Canada, I've been thinking a lot about Best Buy's overall direction. They seem to be really leaning into services like Geek Squad and delivery, which makes sense given the retail landscape. But is it enough? Are they investing enough in their core retail experience or are they becoming too reliant on these other streams? I feel like I see more empty shelves and fewer floor staff than I used to. The competition is fierce, especially with online retailers. Anyone else feel like the company is at a crossroads? Are we seeing the effects of these strategic shifts already, or is this just the natural evolution of retail? Would love to hear some honest opinions from employees and even customers who frequent BBY.

I agree, their shift towards services seems strategic, but I wonder if they're neglecting the in-store experience. It's tough when you walk in and can't find what you're looking for or a staff member to help. Geek Squad and delivery are great value-adds, but a solid, well-stocked retail floor with knowledgeable people has to remain a cornerstone. It's a balancing act, for sure, and they need to nail both aspects to stay competitive long-term.
