The Atlas Avenue office feels like a graveyard lately. I remember when this place actually cared about innovation, but now it’s just a revolving door of spreadsheets and buzzwords. Management has no idea how much institutional knowledge is walking out the door every Friday. They think they can replace a ten-year veteran with a cheaper hire and expect the same output, but the projects are already starting to crumble. Everyone is checking the exit doors, and honestly, I don't blame them one bit. It’s hard to stay loyal when you’re treated like a line item.
I understand the frustration, but it seems like this is the new reality for a lot of companies in this sector right now. It's a brutal market, and Bio-Rad isn't the only one feeling the pressure to show growth to shareholders at the expense of culture. Still, I agree that the lack of transparency from the top is demoralizing. Being kept in the dark while your peers are walked out makes it impossible to focus on the work. If you’re feeling the burnout, maybe it’s time to start polishing your resume while the market is still somewhat active.
