Anyone else blindsided by the scale of this? 4,000 is massive

0x149a…8b27Still trying to figure out what the landscape looks like after the news dropped this morning. Nearly half the company gone in a single sweep is just unprecedented for where we thought we were heading. I’ve been reaching out to a few former coworkers, and it’s clear this wasn’t just 'trimming the fat'—it hit core teams, veterans, and even some high-performers. The lack of transparency leading up to this was staggering. One day you’re focused on the roadmap, the next you’re locked out of Slack and email. The way they framed this around 'restructuring for the future' feels like a complete betrayal of the culture we were promised. I’m seeing people panicking about the job market, and rightfully so. The tech sector is acting like a herd of lemmings right now. If you were part of the 4,000, please reach out or share what you’re hearing about the severance packages. I know we’re all supposed to be 'resilient,' but it’s hard to stay optimistic when you see the company you built treated like a line item on an expense sheet. Stay safe out there.
