Anyone else feeling the pre-layoff anxiety lately?

I know there haven't been any official announcements, but the vibe is just...off. I've been at Block for almost 5 years now, in the finance org, and I've seen this kind of thing before at other companies. The sudden focus on 'efficiency' in every meeting, the VP talking about 'restructuring' the org chart, the hiring freeze that's been in place for months... it all adds up. I'm not saying layoffs are definitely coming, but I'm definitely updating my resume and reaching out to my network. Anyone else feeling the same way? Or am I just being paranoid?

Totally feeling it too. The signals are all there, unfortunately. I'm in product, and we've had projects quietly shelved with no real explanation. It's always the quiet before the storm. Best to be proactive and start looking now, even if it's just to see what's out there. Don't get caught off guard like I did at my last job. Update that LinkedIn profile!

Honestly, every big tech company goes through this. It's like a constant cycle of paranoia and then *maybe* some layoffs, but usually it's just a power play to scare people into working harder. Block is still profitable, right? I'd take a deep breath and focus on your work. Unless you have insider info, it's probably just anxiety amplifying minor changes.
