Blindsided by Block's cuts - how do you even prepare?

Found out I'm part of the recent Block layoffs. It came out of nowhere for me and my team. We were told it was about 'strategic realignment' and leveraging new tech, but it still feels like a punch to the gut. I was committed to the company, working hard, and thought I was safe. Now I'm just... out. It's the uncertainty that's the worst. Do I start applying immediately? Do I take some time to process? How do I even begin to explain this in future interviews? 'My job was made redundant by a chatbot' sounds ridiculous, but that's basically the narrative. I'm worried about finances, about finding something new in this market, and frankly, about my own self-worth after being let go like this. This is more of a rant than anything, but if anyone has advice on navigating this immediate aftermath, I'm all ears. Just feeling pretty lost right now.
