Is the recent reorg a prelude to more cuts?

Seeing a lot of chatter about the recent restructuring on the Cash App side. My team got shuffled around pretty significantly, and some leadership roles seem to have disappeared overnight. It feels like a lot of churn without a clear strategic win. I've been here about 4 years in engineering, and this level of internal reshuffling makes me nervous. Usually, this kind of thing precedes larger headcount reductions. Anyone else on the product/eng side seeing similar patterns or hearing anything concrete about where this is heading?

Yeah, I'm feeling the same way. Been here for 5 years in marketing and this reorg feels...unsettling. The communication has been pretty vague, which isn't helping ease anyone's mind. It's hard to see the benefit when so many people are scrambling to figure out their new roles and reporting structures. I'm hoping it's just a normal business adjustment, but the timing and scale are definitely raising eyebrows across departments. Let's hope for some clarity soon.

Could be. Or it could be a move to streamline operations and get rid of redundant layers that have built up over time. Sometimes these things look chaotic from the ground level but have a larger, albeit painful, logic to them. Focus on doing your job exceptionally well and documenting your contributions. If cuts do come, you want to be able to clearly show your value. It’s a tough situation, for sure, but panic won't help.
