Concerns about BH's future direction

Just feeling a bit uneasy about the general vibe around Booking Holdings lately. Beyond the layoff rumors, which are obviously concerning if true, I'm wondering about the broader strategic direction. The travel industry is super competitive, and with the rise of other platforms and changing consumer habits, are we innovating enough? I feel like the parent company is a bit too reliant on the Booking.com brand, and growth outside of that seems slower. Anyone else feeling this way? It's not just about job security, but also about the long-term health and growth of the company we work for. Would love to hear other perspectives, especially from those in different departments.

I hear your concerns. The reliance on Booking.com is definitely something I've noticed too. While it's a powerhouse, diversifying revenue streams and bolstering other brands like Agoda or Priceline seems crucial for long-term resilience. Innovation is key, especially with AI starting to change how people plan trips. Hopefully, they're investing heavily in new tech and user experiences beyond just core bookings.

Totally agree. The travel landscape shifts so fast. It's not enough to just have the biggest name in online travel agencies. They need to show a clear vision for tapping into new markets, maybe focusing more on alternative accommodations or personalized travel planning. Simply maintaining the status quo with Booking.com might not be a winning strategy in the years ahead. Curious to see what their Q4 earnings call reveals.
