Layoff anxiety - is it just me?

Okay, I'm going to just put it out there. The constant hum of 'what ifs' is getting to me. I've been seeing a lot of senior folks quietly updating their LinkedIn profiles, and there's been a noticeable increase in performance reviews lately that feel a bit more...critical than usual. Plus, the whole situation with the European relief programs and the speculation around that is fueling the fire. It's hard not to worry when you see these subtle signs. I haven't heard any direct announcements, but the lack of proactive communication from HR or management about the future is pretty telling, in my opinion. Anyone else feeling this level of unease? Would love to commiserate or, even better, get some actual intel if anyone has it.

I'm right there with you. It's the uncertainty that's the hardest part. Seeing those senior folks make moves and the shift in performance reviews definitely sets off alarms. It feels like the industry is holding its breath, and while nothing's confirmed, the signs are concerning. Trying to stay positive but it's tough when the whispers are so loud.

I've been feeling it too. The economic climate is definitely creating a nervous buzz across the board, and travel tech isn't immune. It's smart to pay attention to those subtle shifts, even without official word. Focusing on doing the best work possible and staying adaptable feels like the only strategy right now, but yeah, the 'what ifs' are definitely a constant companion.
