Been hearing some chatter lately about hiring freezes in certain departments, and general talk about performance targets being tightened. Is this just the usual cyclical stuff in the travel industry, or is something bigger brewing at Booking? The market's been a bit shaky, and travel is always sensitive to economic downturns. I've been with Booking for a while and these kinds of discussions about performance and hiring always seem to bubble up when the travel market gets a bit choppy. We saw similar murmurs a few years back. The industry is inherently tied to consumer confidence and economic conditions, so it's not entirely surprising. I'm keeping an eye on it, but I'm not overly alarmed just yet. It's probably wise to stay informed though.
