Anyone Else Feel the Pinch at BSC Post-July Layoffs?

Hey everyone, reading about the July 31st layoffs at Boston Scientific and it's hitting a bit too close to home. MassDevice reported cuts in Ireland and Costa Rica, which is rough, but I'm wondering how widespread this actually is. My team hasn't seen direct cuts (yet?), but there's definitely a nervous energy. Projects are being scrutinized more heavily, and there's a lot of talk about 'efficiency gains' and 'streamlining.' Feels like the axe could fall anywhere. Anyone else experiencing this, either directly or indirectly? Are people updating their resumes proactively? Curious to hear what others are hearing or feeling on the ground. Is this just a targeted geographic thing, or is it a broader signal about where BSC is heading?

Yeah, the chatter about efficiency and streamlining has been pretty loud around here too, even though my specific department hasn't had any official announcements. It's definitely a tense atmosphere. While I understand companies need to adapt, the lack of clear communication fuels a lot of anxiety. Seeing reports of cuts globally makes you question what the internal impact will be, even if it's not immediate. Trying to stay focused on my work, but it's tough when the 'what ifs' are constantly buzzing in the background. Fingers crossed it doesn't trickle down further.
