Anyone else in Galway seeing the site security increase?

I’m hearing whispers that the July 31st cuts in Ireland were heavier than what was announced in the internal email this morning. My team had a few people disappear off the global directory before the meeting even started, and it’s been radio silence from leadership since noon. It feels like the ‘restructuring’ is just a convenient label to mask a deeper headcount reduction to juice the quarterly margins. Has anyone else noticed their department rosters shrinking without any official headcount reduction notice? The vibe in the office is completely dead, and frankly, I don’t think we’ve hit the bottom of the barrel yet. Looking at the news, it seems like Costa Rica is getting the worst of it, but the pressure here is definitely ramping up. If you're on the fence about updating your resume, take this as your sign to just get it done today. Don't wait for the invite to a 'check-in' meeting that ends with a box and a security escort.

The mood at the Galway site has been abysmal all day. It is pretty clear that the numbers they shared in the all-hands meeting don’t align with what we are seeing on the floor. Watching colleagues suddenly disappear from the directory while leadership hides behind vague corporate speak is insulting. They keep talking about long-term strategy, but it’s obvious this is just a cold calculation to boost the stock price before the next earnings call. Nobody trusts the official narrative anymore.

Same experience here. My department lost two people this morning, and yet not a single word of acknowledgment from management. The security presence is definitely making everyone feel like they are working in a pressure cooker. It’s hard to stay focused on product development when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder to see who gets removed from the directory next. The lack of transparency regarding the scope of these cuts is really damaging the morale of everyone left behind.
