Is the 'hiring freeze' at BSC real or just a pause?

Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I've noticed over the past few weeks that requisitions seem to be getting stuck in approval limbo, and some roles that were open are now showing as 'on hold' or just disappeared. Heard from a few folks that there might be an informal hiring freeze in place across several divisions. It's not official, no one is saying 'freeze,' but the lack of movement is palpable. Makes me wonder if this is a precursor to something bigger, or just standard Q3/Q4 budget tightening. Has anyone tried to initiate a new hire recently? What was your experience? Curious to know if this is widespread or isolated to certain groups. Trying to gauge the overall health and direction of the company right now.
