Just got my official notification regarding the July 31 reduction. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, especially given how hard the team has been pushing to hit these quarterly targets. They are offering the standard package, but the transition support feels like a joke. They keep emphasizing the 'global nature' of the restructuring, but it feels very targeted at specific roles that have been here for a decade. For those of you who also got the news, have you looked into the legal consultation clauses yet? I’m going to have a lawyer review the release before I sign anything. They’re pressuring us to sign by end of week, which feels pretty predatory. If anyone has experience negotiating the terms or knows if there's any room for adjustment on the payout, please drop a comment. This company used to feel like a stable place to build a career, but after this, I’m just looking for the cleanest exit possible. Good luck to everyone else dealing with this mess.

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. It’s infuriating how they talk about 'global restructuring' while gutting the people who actually built the processes over the last ten years. Don't sign anything yet. Reach out to an employment lawyer specifically about that consultation clause—companies often bank on people being too shell-shocked to push back on the release terms. Take your time to review everything, and if you have the bandwidth, consult with your peers to see if there is any collective leverage.

Same situation here. Honestly, the package is insulting considering the record profits they were touting just a few months ago. It feels like they are clearing out the veteran staff to reset salary bands for new hires. The 'support' is just a box-checking exercise for HR. I’ve already started scrubbing my projects and documenting everything before they cut off my access. If you have any internal connections who made it through, get those recommendations on LinkedIn now before the bridge is fully burned.
