It is honestly exhausting watching the same cycle repeat over and over again. Every time leadership mentions 'operational efficiency,' the rest of us just start counting down the days until the next round of cuts. 133 people is not just a number, it is 133 livelihoods gone while management collects their bonuses for these 'strategic realignments.' If morale is at an all-time low, that is because the trust is completely broken. At this point, it feels like the only thing being optimized is how quickly they can push the remaining staff to burnout.
I am so sorry to hear about the Libertyville site. The constant churn and instability make it nearly impossible to focus on the actual work. When these notifications drop, the atmosphere in the office shifts instantly, and the silence in the hallways says more than any corporate memo ever could. It is incredibly demoralizing to watch talented colleagues get walked out under the guise of progress. Please take care of yourself during this transition; focusing on your own well-being is the only logical response when the company clearly views employees as nothing more than line items on a spreadsheet.
