It’s confirmed via the latest WARN filing for the Willow Circle location in Hagerstown. 70 roles cut as of August 26. I know several people who were impacted, and the way it was handled was cold even by Cadence standards. No real warning, just a calendar invite and then access revoked. For those of us still hanging on in other departments, it really reinforces the idea that we’re just numbers on a spreadsheet to the folks in corporate. If you’re in an office that’s been 'under review' or has low occupancy lately, keep your resume updated. The market is tough right now, and relying on the company to take care of you is clearly a losing strategy. Sending good vibes to everyone who got the boot today.

That’s brutal. I’ve seen this pattern before, and it never gets any easier to hear. Once the calendar invite hits, you know exactly what’s coming, but that doesn't make the immediate lockout any less dehumanizing. It really makes you wonder who is next on the list. For everyone left behind, the culture of fear becomes impossible to ignore. They talk about innovation and growth, but when it comes down to the bottom line, the personal impact is completely secondary. My heart goes out to the 70 people who got caught in this mess.

Honestly, the lack of transparency is the most frustrating part. You can try to stay focused on your projects, but when colleagues are disappearing overnight without a word, it’s hard to keep believing in the 'company culture' messaging. It’s clear that we’re just line items to leadership. The silence from management only makes the office environment more toxic for those of us trying to hold things together. It feels like we are all just waiting for the next round of cuts to hit our own departments.
