Cadence - Anyone else feeling the budget cuts?

Been at Cadence for a few years now, and lately things just feel... different. My team's budget for training and conferences got slashed pretty significantly last quarter, and we're seeing fewer new hires coming in, even for roles that were previously high priority. The usual Q4 budget flush doesn't seem to be happening either. Makes you wonder if they're preemptively cutting costs. Performance reviews are also feeling extra intense, with a lot of emphasis on 'impact' and 'efficiency'. Anyone else experiencing similar cutbacks or changes in spending priorities within their departments? Trying to figure out if this is a company-wide thing or just isolated incidents. It's a bit unsettling not knowing what's going on behind the scenes.

Yeah, the budget situation definitely feels tighter across the board. We've noticed similar things with travel and external training being put on hold. Performance reviews have definitely become more scrutinizing, focusing a lot on tangible outcomes rather than just effort. It's making people a bit anxious about where things are headed, especially with the usual year-end spending not materializing. Hopefully, it's just a temporary belt-tightening and not a sign of deeper issues.

I've been hearing whispers about this too. The emphasis on 'impact' and 'efficiency' has been pretty pronounced in our recent discussions, and it does feel like there's less room for error or for exploring new initiatives without a very clear, immediate ROI. The slowdown in hiring is also noticeable. It's a bit disheartening when you're used to a certain level of investment in growth and development. Curious to see if this is a company-wide trend or specific to certain divisions.
