Feeling the pressure - potential role changes at Cadence?

Is it just me or has anyone else felt a shift in the air at Cadence lately? My manager's been a bit cagey about future projects, and there's been a noticeable increase in 'efficiency' discussions. It's not a full-blown layoff announcement, but it feels like a precursor. We're being pushed to do more with less, and some long-term projects seem to be on shaky ground. I'm starting to worry about job security. Are others experiencing something similar? Maybe it's just my specific division or location, but the vibe feels off. I'm wondering if this is a company-wide push for optimization or something more serious. Anyone have any insights into potential organizational changes or if layoffs are a possibility, even if unconfirmed? It's hard to plan or feel secure when the ground feels a bit shaky. Just want to gauge the temperature across the company. Any shared experiences would be helpful.

I've definitely felt that too, though perhaps in a slightly different way. My team hasn't seen explicit talk of efficiency drives, but there's a definite sense of 'streamlining' going on behind the scenes. New initiatives seem to be deprioritized in favor of optimizing existing processes. It's hard to say if it's a broad company trend or just specific departmental reorganizations. Hopefully, it's just a phase and doesn't lead to anything more concerning for most people.

Interesting to hear others are feeling a similar unease. While my direct manager hasn't brought up efficiency much, I've noticed a subtle shift in how projects are being greenlit. There's a lot more scrutiny on ROI and a tendency to consolidate resources. It's not necessarily negative, but it does make you wonder about the long-term strategy and how it might impact headcount or individual roles down the line. Keep the updates coming if you hear anything more concrete.
