Stagnant pay and rumors of 'restructuring' – time to leave?

I’ve been with Caesars for three years now, and the lack of movement on compensation is starting to wear on me. Every review cycle, we get the same spiel about how the gaming industry is tough and we need to be 'fiscally responsible,' but meanwhile, the internal chatter about potential layoffs in the support branches is reaching a fever pitch. It feels like they’re trying to squeeze us for everything we’ve got before they trim the fat. I’ve noticed a lot of talent jumping ship to competitors or tech-adjacent roles lately, and I can't say I blame them. Is there any point in staying for the 'annual adjustment' if the security of the role is in question? I’m tired of the corporate gaslighting. If anyone else is seeing the writing on the wall regarding headcount reductions, let me know. I’d rather be proactive and leave on my own terms than wait around for a layoff notice that might not even come with a decent package.

I’m in the same boat and finally pulled the trigger last month. The 'fiscally responsible' narrative is just a convenient cover for keeping margins high while morale tanks. I spent four years waiting for a raise that never materialized despite record revenues, and watching them squeeze everyone while talking about 'restructuring' was my breaking point. Trust your gut—the grass is actually greener at smaller regional operators. Don't let them convince you that you’re stuck; start interviewing now while the market is still somewhat forgiving.
