Anyone else getting the cold shoulder after the TN announcement?

It’s been radio silence from leadership since the news dropped on the 15th. I reached out to my manager to see if my role is affected by the Sullivan County consolidation and they literally told me they 'don't have further guidance' yet. How can you lay off over 400 people and not have a clear list or a transition plan ready to go for the rest of us? The anxiety in the office is palpable, and everyone is just staring at their phones waiting for a calendar invite that signifies the end. It feels like they’re trying to keep the ship running until the very last minute without actually telling us if we’re part of the new structure or just dead weight. If you’re at another site, are you hearing anything, or is this corporate black hole normal for them during these restructurings? I’m already looking at my severance package options just in case, but the lack of transparency is honestly insulting at this point.

The leadership team is absolutely failing us right now. It is genuinely unbelievable that they would push out a massive announcement like the Sullivan County closure without having a concrete plan for the remaining staff. Being left in the dark like this is just cruel. Nobody can focus on their actual work when we are all just waiting for the axe to fall. They talk about values and transparency during the good times, but when things actually get difficult, they hide behind vague corporate speak and leave us dealing with all the uncertainty.

Honestly, I stopped expecting any real communication from management months ago. They have always prioritized the bottom line over the people who actually keep this place running. You should probably assume the worst at this point and start polishing your resume instead of waiting for a calendar invite that might never come. It is stressful, for sure, but staying glued to your inbox won't change their mind or make them more organized. Take control of your own situation and start looking for something more stable while the market is still moving.
