Just checking in to see if anyone has seen the official paperwork for the Sullivan County facility closing on Aug 3rd. I’m trying to figure out if the WARN notice covers the full extent of the benefits we were promised during the last town hall. I’ve been with Campbell for a long time, and while I expected some tightening, the scale of this hit is pretty jarring. Is anyone planning to negotiate their package, or are we basically stuck with what they’ve typed up? I’ve heard rumors that HR is being tight-lipped about the outplacement services until the absolute last week. It’s hard to focus on KPIs when you know the facility is effectively shuttering in a few weeks. If anyone has details on the specific exit terms or how they’re handling the final payout for unused PTO, please share. At this point, I just want to know what the 'off-ramp' actually looks like so I can start applying elsewhere without guessing.

I’m in the same boat at the Sullivan facility. From what I’ve gathered talking to a few colleagues, the paperwork is being distributed in phases, which feels like a deliberate tactic to keep us from comparing notes. Don't feel like you have to sign anything the second it lands on your desk. Consult with an employment attorney before agreeing to anything, especially if you’ve been there long enough to have significant accrued benefits. They rely on us feeling pressured and overwhelmed to accept the initial offer without pushback.

Honestly, I wouldn't hold my breath on the company budging. After the town hall, it became pretty clear that management had already decided the path forward regardless of employee feedback. I’ve been with Campbell for over a decade, and the transition process is never as smooth as they promise during those scripted meetings. Take the package and look for the exit as fast as possible; trying to negotiate against their legal team at this stage is usually a losing battle. Focus your energy on networking and moving on to something more stable.
