The disconnect between HQ and the plant floors

It’s infuriating watching the executive suite talk about 'agility' and 'strategic realignment' while actual production sites are being gutted. I’ve been with Campbell’s for five years and I’ve never seen the morale this low. They keep pushing these efficiency initiatives that look great on a slide deck for the investors, but on the ground, it’s just total chaos and headcount reduction. The Sullivan County news was a punch to the gut, and honestly, the silence from management here is deafening. Nobody is telling us if our site is safe or if they’re just waiting for the next quarterly review to find more 'synergies' to cut. It’s hard to stay motivated when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder wondering if your badge will stop working on a Tuesday morning. Anyone else feeling like the 'iconic brand' prestige is just a hollow shell at this point?

It is the classic corporate trap. They love using buzzwords like 'synergy' and 'agility' to mask the reality that they are just stripping the company for parts to make the quarterly earnings look slightly less miserable. I have seen the same thing happen in other manufacturing sectors—the executives are so disconnected from the actual production lines that they have no idea what it takes to keep the machines running. When management stops listening to the people on the floor, the company is already halfway to the bottom.
