On the surface, it sounds like standard business jargon, but the practical impact feels different. Over the past month, several projects my team was working on have been deprioritized or significantly scaled back, with the work being absorbed by fewer people. It's leading to longer hours and a lot of unspoken anxiety. I've also noticed some external recruiting has slowed to a crawl, and there's been a freeze on certain non-essential training programs. It's hard not to connect the dots, even without official layoff news. The atmosphere feels heavy, and people are definitely looking over their shoulders. Are others seeing this same trend?
