Hey all, I know there haven't been official announcements from C1 about layoffs, but the Discover acquisition news has everyone buzzing. I'm seeing a lot of chatter online and hearing whispers from colleagues that integrations like these often lead to redundancies. It's hard not to worry, especially with how things have been going generally in the tech/finance sector. My team has been under pretty tight scrutiny lately, and it feels like the writing is on the wall for some departments. Anyone else in a similar boat or have any insights on how these types of acquisitions typically play out for employees? Trying to stay optimistic but also realistic. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything more concrete or has any strategies for navigating this uncertainty.

It's totally understandable why the Discover acquisition is causing concern, especially with the uncertainty in the market lately. While large-scale integrations can definitely lead to restructuring, hopefully Capital One has a plan to manage the transition smoothly and retain as much talent as possible. Focusing on what you can control and staying adaptable is probably the best approach right now.

Yeah, that acquisition buzz is real. Integrations of this size are complex and often result in shifts in staffing. It's a tough situation when you feel like your department is under scrutiny. Let's hope any changes are handled with transparency and that C1 prioritizes retaining valuable employees through this period of change.
