Anyone else tired of the 'synergy' buzzwords?

I’m so sick of the corporate jargon masking the fact that the company is bleeding talent. We keep hearing about these 'strategic realignments' and 'future-proofing' the business, but every time they announce a new initiative, another 40+ people lose their livelihoods. It’s impossible to focus on actual work when you’re constantly wondering if you’re next on the spreadsheet. The leadership team seems totally disconnected from the reality on the ground. We’re losing institutional knowledge at a breakneck speed, and the people left behind are just expected to pick up the slack without any increase in resources. Is anyone actually seeing a path forward here, or are we just waiting for the next round of cuts to trim the budget further? I feel like the strategy is just to cut until there’s no one left to do the actual work.

The irony of 'synergy' being preached while we watch our best colleagues walk out the door is not lost on me. It feels like every town hall is just a collection of empty buzzwords designed to distract us from the fact that our department is running on a skeleton crew. We are expected to do the work of three people while leadership talks about 'operational efficiency' and 'streamlining.' It is exhausting to pretend these initiatives are about anything other than slashing costs at the expense of our sanity and the company's long-term health.

I stopped listening to the corporate announcements months ago. At this point, the buzzwords are just a signal that another round of layoffs is coming down the pipe. It is pretty clear that the higher-ups are just rearranging chairs on the deck of a sinking ship. They prioritize these abstract strategic goals over the actual people who keep the supply chain moving every day. Losing so much talent is going to haunt this company for years, but I guess that is a problem for someone else to deal with in a future quarter.
