Just saw the WARN filing for the Frontenac Ct. location in Naperville. 43 people walked out today, April 14th. Honestly, is anyone actually surprised at this point? Every time leadership holds an all-hands, they talk about 'streamlining' and 'operational efficiency,' but it feels like the headcount just keeps dropping while the workload stays the same. My manager keeps telling us we're safe, but we’ve been told that every single quarter before another round of cuts happens. Does anyone know if this was specific to the supply chain ops or if it hit the corporate support roles too? It's getting really hard to stay focused on deliverables when you're just waiting for the next calendar invite to 'discuss your role.' If you were affected, I’m truly sorry. This place is becoming a revolving door.

I was in one of those teams that got 'streamlined' a year ago, and honestly, it never stops. They rely on the people left behind to pick up the slack without any extra support. Management loves to preach about efficiency and culture, but it’s clear they view employees as nothing more than line items on a spreadsheet. If your manager is telling you that you are safe, take it with a grain of salt. Start updating your resume now, because at this company, the goalpost for what they consider a 'necessary reduction' is constantly moving.

It is exhausting to watch this happen over and over again. Everyone hears the same buzzwords about 'operational excellence' and 'future-proofing' while the actual people doing the work are pushed out the door. The culture has shifted so much that nobody trusts the leadership team anymore. You can’t build a sustainable business by continuously slashing headcount and expecting the remaining staff to keep the lights on indefinitely. My advice? Don't wait for them to decide your fate. Look for a role where you aren't just waiting for the next round of cuts to hit your department.
