Carrier - Anyone else seeing project slowdowns or hiring freezes?

Hey everyone, been at Carrier for a few years now, and lately, things feel... off. Projects are getting pushed back, some departments seem to have a hiring freeze in place (HR isn't confirming anything, of course), and there's just a general sense of uncertainty. The buzz about potential 'efficiency improvements' has been circulating for a while, and it's making people nervous. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it just my department or is it a company-wide thing? Trying to gauge the temperature here. It's hard to focus on work when you're constantly looking over your shoulder. Any insights or similar experiences would be appreciated. Staying quiet but definitely hearing whispers.

Yeah, I've definitely felt that too. Been hearing similar whispers across different teams. Seems like budget approvals are taking longer, and those 'efficiency improvements' are definitely making folks uneasy. It's hard to get a straight answer from management, which just adds to the anxiety. Hopefully, it's just a temporary lull, but it's hard not to worry when projects are stalling and new hires aren't materializing.

Interesting to hear you're seeing project delays and a potential hiring freeze. My experience has been a bit different, thankfully. Projects are moving, and we're still bringing people on board, although maybe not at the pace we used to. Could be regional, or maybe some divisions are being prioritized over others? The 'efficiency' talk is definitely out there, though – it's hard to ignore.
