CAT - Any signs of a slowdown coming?

Hey everyone, been at CAT for a few years now, and lately things just feel... off. We had that big hiring push last year, but it seems like that's really slowed down. My team's been told to hold off on filling a couple of open spots, and we're seeing more internal transfers than new hires. Management's been pretty quiet about the overall business outlook, which is making me a bit nervous. Anyone else in other departments noticing similar trends? Is it just my area, or is the company tightening its belt more generally? Trying to gauge the temperature without causing any unnecessary panic, but the vibe isn't exactly celebratory right now. Wondering if there are whispers about anything more significant on the horizon.

I've been in the dealer network for a while, and I'm definitely seeing some chatter about slower equipment sales in certain sectors, particularly in mining and construction equipment as interest rates climb. It's not a full stop, but the pace has definitely moderated from the boom we saw a couple of years back. We're seeing more focus on aftermarket parts and services, which often happens when new equipment demand cools. Might be worth keeping an eye on order backlogs in the coming quarters.
