CAT - How's the workload holding up in your division?

Curious to hear from others at Caterpillar. Workload in my area has definitely tapered off in the last couple of months. We're not sitting around twiddling our thumbs, but the intense pace we've been running at for the past couple of years seems to be easing up. Projects are getting pushed back, some new initiatives seem to be on hold indefinitely. It's making me wonder if this is a temporary blip or if it's a sign of something more significant impacting the business overall. Are other departments experiencing similar trends? Is it just specific product lines or regions, or is it a company-wide phenomenon? Trying to understand if this is a normal cyclical thing or something more concerning in the current economic climate. Any intel you can share would be helpful.

Same here in my department. Things have definitely slowed down. I've noticed some reassignments of tasks and a bit more downtime than usual. We were running pretty ragged for a while, so honestly, a slight breather isn't the worst thing, but I'm also watching closely to see if this trend continues. Curious if it's project cycles or something broader.

Interesting that you're seeing a slowdown too. My division is still pretty busy, though maybe not the absolute frenetic pace of last year. We've had a couple of smaller projects paused, but the big ones are still full steam ahead. I'm hoping it's just the natural ebb and flow of the construction/mining cycles. Let's hope it picks back up soon if it's just a temporary lull.
