Caterpillar - Anyone else feeling the pressure?

Hey everyone, long-time lurker, first-time poster here. Been with CAT for a few years now, and lately, there's been a general buzz of unease. Nothing concrete, no official announcements, but the whispers are getting louder. Project scopes seem to be tightening, some internal hiring freezes are being hinted at, and there's just this underlying tension in meetings. I know the company is huge and cyclical, and we've seen downturns before, but this feels different somehow. The global economic outlook isn't exactly rosy, and with interest rates climbing and supply chain issues still lingering, I can't help but wonder if we're heading for some pain. Anyone else in similar roles seeing this? Any insights from different divisions or regions? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or just localized anxiety. Just want to be prepared if things do get rough.

I'm hearing similar sentiments. The talk about projects tightening up is definitely present in my department too. It's easy to dismiss it as just standard industry cycles, but the vibe has shifted, and it's hard to ignore. Everyone's trying to stay optimistic and focus on their work, but the uncertainty is definitely creating some anxiety. Hoping it's just a temporary lull and things pick up soon.
