Is anyone else seeing weird hiring/budget freezes at CAT?

Seriously, what's going on with hiring at Caterpillar? Applied for a few internal roles over the past couple of months and usually, I'd hear back within a few weeks, even if it's a 'thanks but no thanks.' Now? Radio silence. Talked to a few managers, and they're being cagey about new requisitions. Some are saying 'budget reviews' are happening, others are mumbling about 'strategic realignments.' It's not just me; a couple of colleagues in different departments are reporting the same thing. I haven't seen any news about massive layoffs or anything, which is why I'm bringing it here instead of the layoff report section. But this feels like the precursor, doesn't it? Like they're quietly trimming the fat before anything official happens. Anyone else experiencing this level of hiring paralysis across different functions? Trying to figure out if it's just my corner of the company or a broader trend.

I've noticed it too. It's definitely a bit unnerving when the usual recruitment pipeline just stops dead.
