Just saw the WARN notice hit for the Montgomery site. 60 people out the door right before the holiday season is brutal. I’ve been hearing whispers about budget tightening across the board for the last two quarters, but seeing the actual paperwork makes it feel a lot more real. Is this just a strategic headcount adjustment for a specific product line, or is leadership prepping us for a wider reduction in force as we head into Q1? The Montgomery layoffs are just the beginning. I have been tracking the internal bulletins and the trend across the various manufacturing hubs is undeniable. Management is positioning for a leaner Q1 to satisfy shareholders, and the 'specific product line' excuse is a classic deflection strategy. If you are not seeing the writing on the wall by now, you are choosing to stay blind. Get your resume updated and start looking for a parachute before the next wave hits, because corporate is definitely not looking out for the floor employees right now.

It is honestly heartbreaking to see folks get the boot right before the holidays. I have been at this company for a long time, and the culture has shifted so drastically under the current leadership. It used to be about the people who built the machines, but now it feels like we are just spreadsheet entries being deleted to inflate stock prices. I truly hope everyone affected lands on their feet quickly. Stay strong out there and check your local resources, because this silence from the top is absolutely shameful.
