Anyone else tired of the constant 'restructuring' narrative?

Is it just me, or does every single all-hands meeting feel like a gaslighting session? They talk about growth and 'client-focused outcomes' while simultaneously trimming staff every few months. I’m exhausted from looking over my shoulder every time my manager schedules a random 1:1. The culture has completely shifted from building something to just surviving until the next quarterly report. I’ve been trying to keep my head down and hit my metrics, but it’s hard to stay motivated when you see your peers getting pushed out on a rolling basis. Are people actually sticking it out here, or is everyone quietly plotting their exit strategy? The 'top-tier' compensation isn't even worth the anxiety anymore.

It is honestly soul-crushing at this point. I’ve been with CBRE for years and it used to feel like a career, but now it’s just a revolving door of buzzwords and anxiety. Those 'client-focused' emails always drop right before they announce another round of cuts, and it’s impossible to ignore the hypocrisy. My team has been gutted, and I’m just doing the work of three people while waiting for the axe to fall on me next. There is no loyalty left here, just spreadsheets and fear.

I feel you on the 'random 1:1' panic. Every notification sound in Teams now triggers a fight-or-flight response. The leadership keeps pushing this narrative of aggressive growth, but if we’re growing, why is everyone I know either getting laid off or quitting? It’s clearly a strategy to keep us on edge so we don't ask questions about the actual financials. Just keep your resume polished and stay ready to jump ship because this ship is definitely taking on water behind the scenes.
