CBRE - Budgets tightening up? Anyone else notice?

Hey all, been at CBRE for a few years now in [department, e.g., Project Management]. Lately, it feels like the purse strings are getting pulled tighter and tighter. I've seen some smaller projects get put on indefinite hold, and even regular expenses like travel for site visits are getting more scrutiny than usual. My manager's been a bit cagey when I ask about future hiring or even just general team growth. It's not just my team either; I've heard similar whispers from folks in [another department, e.g., Brokerage Support] and even some of the advisory groups. Definitely not seeing any official layoff announcements, but this overall vibe of belt-tightening is hard to ignore. Wondering if this is just a market-wide thing impacting real estate giants like us, or if CBRE is specifically bracing for something. Anyone else picking up on this? How are you guys handling it on your teams?

I'm seeing the same trends in my division. Budgets are definitely tighter, and approvals are taking longer for pretty much everything. It's impacting our ability to get certain resources in a timely manner and, frankly, it's making some of the day-to-day tasks more challenging than they used to be. Hopefully, it's just a temporary cycle.

Yeah, the vibe has definitely shifted. Used to be more flexibility with resources and approvals, but lately, it feels like every penny is being accounted for. Travel is a big one – lots more questions asked before things get signed off. Curious to hear if this is company-wide or specific to certain sectors.
