CBRE - Hiring freeze rumors or just slow recruitment?

Been keeping an eye on open positions at CBRE for a role in my field for a while now. Usually, there's a decent rotation of roles popping up, but for the past couple of months, it's been pretty stagnant. The few roles that *have* posted seem to sit there for ages with no updates on the hiring process. I've reached out to a couple of internal recruiters I know, and they're being super vague, just saying 'hiring is active but selective' or something equally unhelpful. This is making me nervous. Is it possible there's an informal hiring freeze in place that they aren't openly admitting to? Could this be a precursor to something more serious down the line, or is it just the usual real estate market fluctuations playing out? Curious to hear if others are experiencing similar slowdowns in their recruitment efforts or seeing fewer new roles being advertised across the board.
