CBRE hiring freeze or slowdown? Seeing fewer new reqs

Hey everyone, I've been keeping an eye on the job boards and internal postings at CBRE, and it feels like things have really slowed down lately. It's been a while since I've seen a significant number of new requisitions posted, especially for core roles. My team's been putting off some planned hires, and I've heard whispers from other departments that they're in a similar boat. Is anyone else noticing this? Could this be a deliberate hiring freeze, or just a general slowdown in the market impacting CBRE more than expected? I'm trying to gauge if this is something to be worried about in terms of future stability or if it's just a temporary dip. My direct manager is being pretty tight-lipped, so any insights from people on the ground would be super helpful. Trying to understand the broader picture here.

Yeah, I've noticed the same trend. It definitely feels like a bit of a pause across the board. My team's headcount plan for Q3 looks pretty much on hold, and the communication from leadership has been a bit vague, citing 'market conditions' rather than anything specific. It's making planning pretty difficult. Hoping it's just a temporary lull.

Interesting, I hadn't picked up on it quite that strongly, but now that you mention it, the flow of new roles does seem a bit thinner than usual. We had a couple of positions we were expecting to open up soon that haven't materialized. Could be a strategic shift or just a reaction to the broader economic climate. Worth keeping an eye on.
