Celanese: Anyone else seeing weird signals? Layoffs coming?

Hey everyone, been with Celanese for a few years now, and lately things feel... off. There's been a lot of whispers about 'efficiency improvements' and 'strategic realignments' in internal comms, but it's vague enough to be worrying. Performance reviews felt a bit more intense this cycle, and some projects seem to be slowing down or getting re-scoped without clear reasons. I haven't seen any official announcements, and HR is giving standard 'business as usual' responses when asked. Just wondering if anyone else is picking up on similar vibes or has heard anything more concrete, even if it's just gossip? Trying to gauge if this is company-wide or specific to certain departments. Feeling a bit anxious about what the near future holds.

I've also noticed some increased chatter about restructuring lately. It's hard to tell if it's just typical end-of-year planning or something more significant. The vague language does make you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes. Hopefully, it's just normal business fluctuations, but the feeling of uncertainty is definitely there.

Could be nothing, could be something. Management often uses those buzzwords when they're gearing up for changes, whether it's a minor reshuffling or something bigger. Keep your ears open and be prepared, but try not to stress too much until there's concrete news. Fingers crossed it's all just a tempest in a teapot.
