So, we all know Celanese has a hiring freeze in place. Been this way for a while now. While that's not a layoff itself, it's definitely a sign that management is tightening the belt. What's concerning is that it hasn't seemed to thaw at all, and we're seeing less investment in new initiatives too. Makes you wonder what the long-term outlook is. Are we heading for a more significant restructuring down the line, or is this just a standard economic response? Anyone have insights from their teams or any whispers from leadership about the strategy behind this freeze? Trying to gauge the temperature here before things potentially get worse.

Yeah, that hiring freeze has been a persistent topic of conversation. It's hard not to interpret it as a signal that leadership is feeling some pressure, whether it's market-related or internal. The lack of new project funding certainly adds to that sentiment. I've also noticed a general slowdown in approvals for even smaller things. Hoping it's just a cyclical thing and not a precursor to something more drastic, but the continued silence on thawing it is definitely a bit unnerving for morale.
